Jesus wants us to keep asking, seeking, and knocking; knowing our Father in Heaven will give us good gifts. We’re praying for healing, reconciliation, and restoration for our city. We pray in motels, in apartments, in parks, on zoom, and we’re seeing Jesus bring peace, healing, and salvation to all who cry out to Him, regardless of socio-economic status, ethnicity, language, or culture. Jesus is truly making all things new!
Jesus tells us to bring good news to the poor. He specifically instructs his followers in Matt 25 to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give a drink to the thirsty, visit those who are in prison… When we share generously with dignity and respect for all people, this demonstrates God’s love to those who need to experience His presence in a tangible way. In the motels we are experiencing real reciprocal relationships as we seek to love and serve one another. Everyone has something to give and something they need, regardless of how much material wealth or success you have achieved. Come and experience the economy of the Kingdom with us!
Every week volunteers from various churches go door to door in several motels proclaiming and demonstrating the peace of God, the presence of God, praying for families, and doing discovery bible studies with anyone who is hungry for God. Every week we see God answer prayers in mighty miraculous ways. Every week we learn from the parables of the Kingdom what Jesus wants for us, what He is calling us to. We are seeing lives transformed by the word of God, the people of God, and the Spirit of God.
